VTU Delays Dates of University Exams, Affects A Lot of Students

Yesterday(04.01.1995) evening our facebook page was flooded with messages from students of the Visvesvarsya Technological University(VTU) situated in the state of Karnataka. The messages were related to the sudden news of the postponement of university exam dates, as it would affect the holiday schedule of a lot of students.

One of the messages on the page read this:

By this message, it is completely clear that students are very sad as there was no proper news being circulated at that moment and many students considered it to be a rumor because due to the huge traffic flowing in on the official website, the site went offline.

Soon enough a circular appeared on the university website stating the change in the date of exams.

Still the students of VTU were unaware of the reason for such a sudden postponement due to which they were very angry with the administration because the students who have come in from different cities will have to cancel and reschedule their travel plans as well any other holiday or training/internship plans.

Soon the real reason for the delay of exams was revealed. The demise of Cooperation and sugar minister H.C.Mahadevappa led to the news. University vice-chancellor Karisiddappa said that three engineering colleges were located in Chamarajanagar district, the home district of the deceased Minister.[Source: The Hindu]

Fresh exam dates to be announced later today as per college administration. We wish all the students all the best for their exams.
